Just Do GOOD Entertainment, launched January 2024, was formed by industry veterans Monty Hobbs and  Valerie Smaldone.
Born out of the founders’ desire to produce compelling content that inspires and enacts change by doing good for others, the company was created after they worked together for another company. Hobbs and Smaldone met and produced (and in Smaldone’s case directed) the award-winning, Dove approved faith-based film, The Thursday Night Club, featuring Gloria Gaynor in her feature film acting debut. Shooting that film against the backdrop of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, they were struck by the challenge of producing inspirational content during a devastating conflict and wanted to find a way to move forward and still feel positive about life. It is then that they (along with another producer) decided to create a home improvement series with a spiritual twist.  The Telly Award-winning first season  of Divine Renovation, hosted by television icon Erik Estrada, is available to view on multiple platforms. Divine Renovation, Destination: New England  (Season 2) can be seen on numerous platforms including Tubi / Amazon / Roku beginning Sept 19,2024.
Whether producing episodic television or a film, publishing a children’s book, or mounting a live event that celebrates community, Just Do GOOD Entertainment's mission is to create original content that uplifts, inspires and makes a difference.
